I grew up in North Carolina with dreams of becoming a medical doctor. When I arrived at North Carolina State University, I found out quickly that the medical field was no longer for me. I craved a career that would be exciting and creative, but also wanted to utilize the critical thinking skills that my favorite subjects of science and math taught me. I quickly found that the intersection of creativity and logic lies in Fashion.
Although I had never studied fashion or business before, my brand management and marketing classes were where I felt at home. The renewed energy and passion that I felt while studying my undergraduate degree led me to apply to Master programs abroad. Now as I continue my education at Istituto Europeo di Design, I feel excitement, passion, and determination to excel in the fashion industry.
I have always been interested in strategic marketing and branding roles, but have recently opened myself up to a whole new world of fashion that I have never experienced before. I enjoy exploring more creative avenues in my freetime such as practicing photography, diving deeper into the visual culture of fashion, and immersing myself in all of the fashion and art history that Florence and Italy can provide me. I am looking forward to a life full of excitement and learning, and am ready for wherever the fashion industry will take me.
